A Healthy Paradigm provides health and fitness information and services for those who are tired of being told by society that they need to look a certain way to be healthy. Instead, we support the Health at Every Size (HAES) practice; the focus is on health rather than body size or body weight. Health is about much more than body weight or shape. It’s multidimensional and considers physical, social, mental, and emotional health. It’s influenced by our genetics and by our past and current behaviours; some of these factors we can control, others we can’t. So let’s try for a new paradigm, try something shocking – develop positive behaviours, exercise because your body and mind loves it, eat mindfully (yes that might include salad one day and chocolate the next!), and trust that your body will settle at it’s happiest weight.
