Jodie has worked in the health and fitness industries, supporting individuals and groups for over 9 years. Finding your own unique and compassionate route to health can be challenging and uncomfortable, yet hugely rewarding. Jodie recognises what a huge privilege it is to support her clients along the way.
With qualifications in exercise physiology and psychology, as well as significant experience in the HAES®/non-diet approach, Jodie is able to work with you in a variety of ways to improve your relationship with your body, food, and exercise.
Jodie provides mobile exercise physiology services and has a particular interest in working with those who are experiencing difficulties with body image, disordered eating, eating disorders (anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, OSFED), mental health (depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder), or who would simply like to work with a body positive trainer.
Jodie largely delivers session at your home or your local gym (with management permission). Areas include: Ferntree Gully, Upper Ferntree Gully, Upwey, Ferny Creek, Tecoma, Belgrave, Selby, Sassafras, Monbulk, Emerald, Olinda, Knoxfield, Boronia, Scoresby, Wantirna, and Wantirna South.
Unfortunately, due to her psychology study commitments, Jodie currently has very limited availabilities for private exercise physiology. However, please feel free to get in contact and if Jodie isn’t able to assist, she can help you find someone who can. If you’re in Melbourne and looking for a body positive trainer, I highly recommend Shelley at Body Positive Health and Fitness and Chris at Move and Be Free.
Initial Assessment – $130
Subsequent Sessions – $85/45 mins; $105/60 mins
Program Writing – Price on application
Jodie offers consults which can help you to:
- find ways of moving your body that are enjoyable and feel good for you
- understand and apply mindful and intuitive eating
- improve your body image and achieve body acceptance and respect
- find your own definition of health.
Consults can be provided in-person, via Skype, or telephone.
Please note – these are not suitable for those with or recovering from an eating disorder. Jodie has a large network of specialist health professionals she is able to refer you to if needed.
Have a few friends who are interested in the HAES®/non-diet approach and want to learn more about it? Jodie can run group consults and workshops specific to your needs.
These can also be done for businesses who would like to introduce their staff or customers to these approaches.
